COAP believes that every child should have the opportunity to experience the Arts. Art influences every aspect of life. Many times the cost of music or art lessons is what prevents a child from participating, so we adjust our fees to make it easier for parents to enroll their child and if by chance a parent cannot afford the cost, we conduct fundraisers monthly and the funds are used for those children to participate anyway. We always find a way for a child to participate. We also give 3 times the amount of instruction for about one third the regular cost as in other programs. We place a significant emphasis on helping socio-economically challenged children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to participate in the Arts. 

Arts Exp'osion teaches piano, music theory, painting on canvas, and poetry & inspiration within a 2 hour & 15 minute session weekly for 13 weeks. The final session is a public recital. Many students who enroll in this program do not read or write well, and most have never been in front of an audience. By the end of the season all of our students are able to read musical terms, write musical notes, sing, paint, and play piano music at beginner level.
